......a Miiiiiichigan Christmas

Way overdue on a posting.  Many apologies to our friends who indulge us by saying they read this blog.  I don't blame the loyal readers if they've almost given up on us.  I'm blaming the Canadians this time for my delinquency.

First order of business is the size of Jen's belly.  Profile pic below at 34 weeks.  As you can see, she is rapidly running out of room and it's only a matter of time before Clete makes a dash for the nearest exit.  We're obviously thrilled to be sitting in the 35th week at this point considering what transpired a few months ago, but the grunts out Jen these days suggest that she's also nearing the end of the game.  I made the mistake the other day of saying "You know, this has really flown by".....and I'm lucky to be alive right now.

We just got back from road trip #2 this past week as we spent Christmas in Michigan with the Crystal gang.  Notable moments include a white-knuckled ride up to Crystal in a car with bald tires and no heat during an ice storm, a Christmas Eve mass organist taking advantage of an open microphone during "Hark the Herald Angels Sing", skiing in the rain on Christmas morning, some second-hand store dress-up fun and an R rated version of Apples to Apples.  But the highlight BY FAR was the baby shower hosted by the House family.  There really is too much to say about the shower, but the amount of gratitude that we both feel as a result is simply overwhelming.  We're very lucky to be surrounded by a group of such fantastic people.  Also it's safe to say that we're not short on baby supplies at this point.  I'm not sure we'll ever be "ready" ready but we're getting closer.

Becoming an expert car loader....

Nothing screams "Happy Holidays" like Schlitz shirts (say it 3 times fast...)
