Happy Father's Day!
Tommy offered to let his dad sleep in today, but Pat couldn't wait to jump out of bed on his first Father's Day and head to the beach, where we met our friends Cathy and Dreamer. Lake Michigan was tolerable to knee-level...a huge improvement from our last trip. Happy Father's Day, Pat, Grandpa Ed and Grandpa Doug!
A little catch up from the past few weeks...here are the first few bites of cereal for our big 4 month-old!
He was just as interested in the spoon as he was the cereal...until he gagged himself and I had to snatch it away.
He has a death grip on my hand...his version of feeding himself, I suppose.
Lots of reading- he loves to help turn pages, usually the wrong way. Spoils the ending!
All the grandparents were in for residency graduation...Grandpa stopped by Notre Dame on the way to pick up matching family t-shirts for the games this fall!
Graduation dinner at Zed 451 with a great rooftop deck...cocktails were flowing like water.
So nice to have our parents in for the occasion...
Our second dinner without Tommy! Too bad for him, it was awesome!
Sebastian, Katharina and I bid farewell as chiefs...Amen! I will miss these guys.
If all goes according to plan, we close on the condo on July 16th and will have the moving truck pointed south to Flossmoor (where?!) where Tommy will have his own room and Gus will have his own yard. We are excited and eager to start the new chapter, but sad to leave our first home in Wrigleyville. Lots of fun memories...

Congrats on graduation and selling the house!
ReplyDeleteMoving to Flossmoor...technically that makes you a "south-sider". Will you be cheering for the White Sox now??
Little Tommy is so cute. Glad he is ready for ND season.
Love, Jane
One of the questions I asked the realtor was what the neighborhood Cubs fan vs. Sox fan ratio was, and allegedly it's a pretty even mix. The Cubs flag will be flying in Flossmoor, so rest-assured you can count on Tommy being another tormented fan.
