Well for those of you who've been checking this blog, you'll know that this is quite the moment for us. We've begun the move out of the 1 bedroom condo and entered the world of suburbanism. In an unexpected twist, Flossmoor, IL is the landing spot. We found a great home that we're going to rent for a year.....gotta make sure we like the area? Jen tells me that not being able to walk to Anthropologie might be a problem. I think this is the exact opposite of what "problem" means.
We are not officially moving until next weekend, but decided to unload the little things while we had time this weekend. Big movers come on Saturday.
Gus got to make the first trip and quickly figured out where the guard post is.

He decided to let me in after a few empty promises for dog treats....

Wasn't long before he found the coolest spot in the house on this sunny 90 degree day. It also happened to be the main drag for the unloading trips.

It won't be long until I need to ask where everything is.....

2 miller lite chairs and a bouncy seat for the living room furniture. We're a practical family so this will do for now.

Tommy took a practice nap in his new digs. His version of helping us move involved him sleeping for an hour......and we greatly appreciated it. There's a sweet ceiling fan in his room so I think we've picked a winner.

Mom introducing Tommy to his first swimming pool. Indoors in the master bedroom? Weird.

From a week ago.....Jen decided that an hour after my return from a bachelor party in Madison that I needed to take Tommy to the park to swing.....in the sun......in 90 degree heat with a high humidity index. This was not a long visit.

Tommy and his new form of endless entertainment. A tray attached to his bumbo chair with an overwhelming supply of movable (and gum-able) parts. As you can see, we caught him in an awkward moment.

Have a great 4th everyone!
