Wow, WAY overdue on a blog post. Life has suddenly become busier than normal at home with a 2 year old running around. Mixing things up a bit, Margot has decided that she's finally ready to crawl, so now we have an extremely mobile home. I've noticed that the parental reflexes have sharpened just a hair, as we need to be ready for anything Tommy throws our, and especially Margot's, way. The poor girl is vulnerable these days.....to say the least. We're doing our best to keep the bruising under control.
There's way too much to catch up on, so below are some recent pics from the latest news around here, including an album from a much needed and very relaxing vacation in Grand Cayman.
Starting off the album with Tommy's latest boo-boo. This one, a nail clipping episode gone awry. Poor guy....healed up quick though.
The Bautch family was an excellent welcoming committee for Grand Cayman.
The sunsets really were indescribable. Each night topped the one before.
Austin provided constant entertainment, not just for Tommy, but for the adults too.
PLENTY of pool time for Tommy. It's pretty clear that he is a water kid.
I can handle this sort of parental supervision.
Hard to get too worked up about anything down there, including buckets of sand in Margot's mouth.
Ava, the perfect babysitter in training.
All the cousins in one spot, which was admittedly a tough thing to accomplish. Margot is starting to take after her brother when it comes to "stranger danger."
We grabbed a babysitter one afternoon and all hopped on a boat for a snorkeling tour to stingray city and rum point. Possibly the highlight of the trip, for me atleast. The water was crystal clear off the beach, but I had no idea that 10 miles out it was even more clear. I'd never seen anything like it.
Couldn't resist. Someone had to say they did it.
Jen still hasn't done much to prove to me that she can swim. What is hard to see here is that she quietly put a life vest on for the snorkeling portion.
The obligatory picture at Starfish Point. Jen made me do it.
Cousin love....
Happy hour won't ever be the same. Every night consisted of some variation of the below.
Margot wasted no time getting used to it too.
Smiles tend to look a little better while on vacation....
A mini 33rd birthday celebration whipped up by Aunt Sue at the last minute. Quite the spread at lunch with little to no prep time!
Can't wait for next year.....already booked the trip again!
Here's the rest of the album if you feel like looking through way too many pictures.
