Well one thing we weren't short on in our first winter in northwestern lower Michigan is snow. In the first 2 months of 2013, the schools in the area have had 9 snow days. This came as a surprise to me not just because of the amount of snow we've received, but also I thought schools up here just ignored the snow.
In any case, Tommy and Gus have been thrilled. Margot and Dad have had their doubts, but we'll live. It's second nature to Jen since she grew up in it. I just needed to confirm that this level of snow wasn't the norm......which apparently it's not.
I found the below picture sobering. A satellite view of our new surroundings during Winter. Notice the insane amount of lake effect snow blowing in off the Great Lakes. Can you find Michigan in the picture?
Big smiles out of T-bone below. Not seeming to out grow his pentiant for being outdoors.
Gus makes me laugh in the below picture. He suddenly forgets about his old age and creaky bones when the snow hits.
Lots of catching up to do! Two active children typically require two active sets of hands with little room for a camera, so we're behind the times.
