Since we're approaching a 1st birthday this week (whoa), Grandma, Grandpa and the Plano Schaffler's got Tommy his first birthday cake and we had a warmup session for the real thing.
During singing, Jen's view of Tommy's hands taking a swipe at the cake was unfortunately blocked, so he proceeded to throw purple frosting across the room and wipe it all over his pajamas within seconds.
To prevent further damage with the frosting covered hand.....

The standard photo in front of the fire place, with Grandma's new homemade sweater! As you can see, the ceiling fans in Dallas are equally intriguing to our child.
This is as good as we can do for the family photo. Nice face Tommy. Also, since when did Tommy's hair start turning a tint of orange? Warm weather does strange things to people.
