On the way to the fire station to deliver the pacifiers to the greatly-admired firemen who will pass them along to other babies who need them. I kindly placed them in a ziplock to avoid the firemen having to actually touch the pacifiers...which didn't exactly pan out.
Involving the fire department added complexity to the execution of my plan. Of course they weren't there when we arrived, so we had to grab some breakfast across the street and wait for them to return. :)
Here we go!I dropped off breakfast for these guys beforehand to make sure they'd be hip to playing along. I just expected it to stay in the ziplock...sorry, sir.
This guy could have won an Oscar for his acceptance speech. Great delivery!
Tommy was stunned when he got to drive the truck.
And the grand finale: the presentation of the scooter. These guys were so cool- thanks again, TCFD!
We got home and quickly realized it was time to get a helmet...
"Put your arm around your sister"
Margot shows why she should wear her helmet at all times.
And we capped off the weekend hosting a few of the anesthesia girls and their families for dinner....we figured Tommy could use the distraction!
Margot and Mara finally broke away from the 5 boys for some peace and quiet...nice work ladies.
It was a great weekend- back to the grind in the morning! Let's hope we allllll sleep soundly tonight! ;)
I can't believe it! So what happened around 9 pm? This is the best! How was last night?
ReplyDeleteNo big deal on the bedtime routine. We were amazed that he didn't put up more of a fight.
