Happy Halloween!

Halloween came in 2 stages this year- one of which was easily tolerable.  The other was a bit of a stretch, even with blankets, rain coats, and spiced rum.
Below, kickoff to Halloween weekend at Crystal.  Sitting on Grandpa's four-wheeler is the only way to get both of them to sit long enough to grab the camera.  Thankfully Margot still doesn't protest being a backseat driver.
I hate to promote gender stereotypes, but poor Margot never gets to touch the steering wheel of anything.  Below, Urban (who refused to wear his skunk costume) stands guard over the golf cart.
The little ladybug works on bruising her other cheek.
I can almost hear Tommy to Urban: "You felt silly putting a skunk costume on?  Just look at me...I'm a wiener."
At this stage of development, there was no way we could pull off a kids-only picture.  And even with moms included, it's lack-luster at best.
This one is quite charming, however...:)
Warm enough?
And here's round two...trick-or-treating in 40 degress and rain.  We had no room to complain about the weather this year, as our cousins the Bautches in NY were still without power from Hurricane Sandy.
Note Pat's pillow case as the candy sack...
He gave up trick-or-treating after a few houses and decided to help haul the loot instead.
Meanwhile, Aunt T and Uncle Willie manned the door with some help from Addison, Lena, and Jack!  Thanks, guys!  Next year, hand warmers!?
