Summer Break is OVER! Recap: May 2013

The blog has taken a major blow this summer.  I owe it to my children (still haven't started those baby books...) to document a few items to prove that we were trying as parents.
Below, Tommy's first soccer practice.  A total disaster, as the soccer field was adjacent to the beach volleyball courts.  "Let's play in the sand!"  Guess we'll pursue the volleyball team next summer.
"No hands!"
Dad kicked off the golf season with a stellar performance at the Horton Smith Championship in Detroit, and the kids and I got to tag along to see the skyscrapers and hang out with Urban before he moves to Hotlanta!

A highlight of the weekend was a trip to the Detroit Zoo.  Steph and I may have been tempted to leave the kids where they belong, but thankfully no one slipped into the cages.

We spent Mother's day at Reunion Park helping Grandpa plant trees and sunflowers.

There's our Christmas tree from 2012, looking good! (Better than in the pot on the front porch)
Trying our hand at genetic enhancement-- corn and sunflower seeds together in the same hole.  Hmmmm.

Margot and Erin hold dirty hands.
Future campers!
