Ice, Ice, Baby!

Overnight on Feburary 7th, East Bay completely froze over. In one night. 18 inches thick. It was (and has been) cold.  Really, really cold.
The ice formed so quickly, it was sliiiiick.  Like a Zamboni on the rink...perfectly smooth!  Notice the ice fishermen several hundred yards out...we weren't quite so bold on day #1.
I have videos of how incredible the ice was, but chose not to include them because at least one child is crying throughout because they keep falling down.
Look at the rocks under Pat's feet.  You could see straight through to the bottom.
Schaffler Ice Rink is open for business!
The kids were amused by how far the pieces slid on the slippery ice.  Maybe we have some brewing bowlers?
