We've had a fun-filled past few weeks, and as a result we have a lot of catching up to do!
We had a great time at Packey's 3rd birthday party. (As an added bonus, we used it as bait for many days leading up to the party to encourage good behavior. "If you don't stop hitting your sister, you won't be able to ride the carousel.") Talk about results!?!
Below, Tommy gets a ride next to the birthday boy. (Hard to take pictures of these things!?)

We made a spontaneous trip to the Lincoln Park Zoo on what was
supposed to be an 80-degree day, which turned out to be roughly 40-degrees over-estimated. Despite that and forgetting the stroller at home, we still managed to have a lovely time!

We scored a front-row spot at the gorillas, where Tommy proved he has an attention span much longer than he leads on...

But of course the most memorable part of the day was driving the tractor. I'm still amazed I got him out of the cab and down the stairs before he started screaming for "MORE!"

In heaven.

Below are a few pics from our Easter weekend at Crystal Mountain. We learned our lesson this year (before Tommy and Margot really care, thank goodness) that the Easter egg hunt at 10am SHARP means, well, SHARP. This was the scene at 10:08 when the people-mover arrived. Tommy seemed confused why he had to bring his basket...sorry, bud. We'll get it down before you can blame us.

Thankfully, the Easter bunny didn't run out like the rest of them...but this was as close as Tommy would get.

Here's the make-up egg hunt in the front yard. It was difficult to keep the eggs in position with 3 dogs "retrieving" them to the porch.

"Wait, is there something in there?"

Tommy had a hard time keeping the jelly bean in the egg as he pried it open...

So it wasn't long until Gus joined his siblings for some sandy jelly beans.

Margot missed her brother! (Gus has been with Grandpa since we went on vacation 10 weeks ago)

So did Tommy.

Margot wore an early birthday gift from Grandma- love it!

With Tommy out of sight, she finally gets a chance to check out her basket.

This isn't exactly an Easter photo for the record books, but it's the only place I could get a big smile out of the little guy. Sorry for the Christmas lights obscuring our faces...only on the people-mover.

Hope everyone had a very Happy Easter!
