Croup

This week we had our first brush with the virus known as croup.  Not much to write home about thankfully, but when they say that kids with croup sound like a barking baby seal, they aren't kidding.  We were certainly more than startled when we heard the sounds coming from Tommy's room a few mornings ago.

A little pathetic looking but he's powering through.....

A couple of Walgreens runs, some good ole vitamin C, some good rest, and we seem to be on our way to a full recovery.  Tommy does his best used car salesman impression below to prove this point.

Meanwhile, Margot seems to be figuring it all out.  Although she's definitely not as easy as she was the first couple of months, her blue eyes and smiles make up for it.

It's only a matter of time before the poor girl comes down with Tommy's virus, but we're doing our best to prevent that from happening.  Unfortunately her brother seems to have taken a keen interest in showering her with slobbery kisses during the past week, so she's pretty much doomed.

The focus was off in the below picture, but it sums up the action around the house pretty well.  Even with Sesame Street on in the background (only before bedtime!), Tommy seems to go about a million miles a minute with Margot left in the dust most the time.  She'll catch up in due time, and God help us all when that time comes.

Have a great weekend!
